Ford Econovan Maxi (All Models)

The Ford Econovan was one of the most popular commercial vehicles in Australia. The interior of the vehicle was designed to maximise the usable space within a compact body which also made it a very practical vehicle for campervan conversion.

In 2006 the Ford Econovan and it's sister the Mazda E-series were taken off the Australian market because of non compliance with changing regulations.

Ford and Mazda developed a strategic alliance between the two companies. Many components used in the Ford Econovan are also used in the Mazda E Series vans.

The Ford Econovan was released into Australia in June 1979. In October 1985 the Ford Econovan Maxi was released. The JG series was introduced in February 1997 followed by the JH Series in October 1999. The Ford Econovan was assembled in Japan.

Products available for the Ford Econovan include insect screening solutions and solar screening solutions.

Insect Screens for Window Openings:

The Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen attaches externally to the ferrous metal body panels that surrounds the window frame. The Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen rolls up for storage in a tube or can be stored flat under the mattress.

Flexible Magnetic Insect Screens are available for the following window openings:

1. Sliding Door Window (Left Side Centre). Provides a 100 % seal to a window panel 109cm wide x 54cm high.
2. Right Side Centre Window. The Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen is made to a size to screen a window panel 110cm wide x 54cm high.

Insect Screen for the Sliding Door Opening:

A Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen for the Sliding Door Opening is comprised of overlapping mesh panels secured internally at the head in a track. Flexible magnet provides the seal down each side of the opening and between the overlapping mesh panels. The bottom seal is also provided by a flexible magnetic fastener.

Entry into and exit out of your vehicle is simply a matter of moving through the overlapping mesh panels. The product is robust and provides an effective barrier against insect entry.

The Sliding Door Opening Insect Screen can be removed in around 10 to 15 seconds and is just as easy to reinstall. When the sliding door insect screen is not required it can be easily removed for storage using the optional storage hanger.

Insect Screen for the Tailgate Opening:

Two options are available to screen the tailgate opening:

Option 1: The Tailgate Insect Screen Assembly is a non magnetic insect screening product  that is held in place by an elastic fastening device and provides a 100% seal  against insect pest entry to the tailgate opening nominally 130cm wide x 133cm high. This product is an insect screen only and whilst accomodating access to drawers and cabinets does not provide for occupant access except in an emergency.

Option 2: The Flexible Magnetic Tailgate Insect Screen is comprised of three overlapping mesh panels that are held in an internally fitted track at the top of the rear opening. A two part flexible magnetic fastener seals the centre panel against the two outer panels for the full depth of the opening. The vertical perimeter seals are provided by a track system. When insects are not an issue the centre panel can be rolled up and tied at the top of the door opening.

Sun Shields for Thermal Protection & Privacy:
