Insect Screens for Window Openings:

The Volkswagen Transporter T5 presents technically challenging and limited window openings for which to provide insect screening protection. Top Gear 2 Go has solved the technical difficulties in providing insect screening protection employing our Flexible Magnetic Insect Screening technology.

The Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen rolls up for storage in a tube or can be stored flat.

Flexible Magnetic Insect Screening options are available for the following windows:

1. Passenger Door Window Opening for EXTERNAL installation where weathershields are not installed.
2. Passenger Door Window Opening for INTERNAL installation where weathershields are installed.
3. Drivers Door Window Opening for EXTERNAL installation where weathershields are not installed.
4. Drivers Door Window Opening for INTERNAL installation where weathershields are installed.
5. Left Side Centre (Sliding Door) Window for external installation.
6. Right Side Centre Window for external installation.

If after market windows are installed in your vehicle that provide an opening and closing window then Flexible Magnetic Insect Screens can be manufactured to screen the opening. Please email the dimensions to us for a quote.

Insect Screen for the Sliding Door Opening

A Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen for the sliding door opening (nominally 106cm wide x 137cm high) is comprised of three overlapping mesh panels secured internally at the head of the door opening in a track. Flexible Magnet provides the seal down each side of the opening and between the overlapping mesh panels. The bottom seal is provided by snap fasteners.

When insects are not an issue the centre panel can be rolled up and secured at the top of the door opening to provided unobstructed access.

Entry into and out of your vehicle is simply a matter of moving through the overlapping mesh panels. The product is robust and provides an effective barrier against insect entry.

The sliding door insect screen can be removed in around 10 to 15 seconds and is just as easy to re install. When the sliding door insect screen is not required it can be easily removed for storage using the optional storage hanger.

Insect Screen for the Tailgate Opening

Two options are available to screen the rear opening:

Option 1: The Tailgate Insect Screen Assembly is a non magnetic insect screening product that is held in position by an elastic fastening device and provides a 100% seal against insect pest entry via the tailgate opening. The Tailgate Insect Screen Assembly screens an opening nominally 151cm wide x 142cm high. This product is an insect screen only and whilst providing for access to drawers and cabinets via the tailgate does not provide for occupant access or exit except in an emergency.

Option 2: Rear Opening Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen is comprised of three overlapping mesh panels. The centre panel magnetically seals against the outer panels and the vertical and top perimeter seal is provided by a track system. The bottom seal is provided by a combination of flexible magnetic for the base of the centre panel and hook and loop fastener for the base of the outer panels. The ear opening Flexible Magnetic Insect Screen can remain installed permanently and can be removed for cleaning in under 30 seconds. When insects are not an issue the centre panel can be rolled up and secured at the top of the door opening to provided unobstructed access.

Sun Shields for Thermal Protection and Privacy

Sun Shields are available for internal installation to the windscreen only, or optionally, as a cabin set (includes the windscreen and also the passenger and drivers door windows).
